These high frequency limiters, in our opinion, are far superior to the Neumann acceleration limiter that is used as standard in disc cutting. The HF limiters are within the SAL74B amp rack, just before the amps in the chain and are essentially there to stop high frequency distortion on the record. This is fantastic for 'S'-ey vocals, loud crash and ride cymbals etc, and with the super fast attack and release times these units can soften these aggressive sounds enough to stop distortion on the vinyl, but leave the audio intact so as to be imperceptible to hear the limiting.
